A new monthly group, Cottenham Climate Conversations, aims to provide a welcoming space for residents to come together and talk about the climate crisis — and what we can do about it.
We focus on different topics, providing practical information about climate change through talks and activities from local organisations. In July 2025 had a stimulating talk and discussion about Climate Change Gardening.

Upcoming talks include:
- 16th August 2025 – Action on Energy: how to improve the energy efficiency of your home
- 20th September – Permaculture
- 18th October – Action for Swifts /Fulbourn Swifts group
- 15th November – Pesticide Free Cambridge
It’s also a space where people can share their thoughts and ideas. We hope to inspire individual and community action — whether it’s making eco-friendly lifestyle changes or finding support for local projects.
The group is free (donations welcome) and open to everyone of all ages – families welcome. Join us between 11am-12pm on 3rd Saturday of the month at Cottenham Community Centre, 250 High Street (opposite Cottenham Co-op).
This is a project set up by Cottenham Parish Council’s Climate and Ecological Emergency Working Group, in collaboration with Sustainable Cottenham and On The Edge Cottenham.
