Do you use the Histon Road cycle path? Sustainable Cottenham organises twice yearly tidy-ups (cutting back the verge to reveal solar studs and cleaning them, cutting back brambles etc) and we need more help. It’s hard work, but does make a difference! We’re planning another work party on the afternoon of Sat 5th April - meeting on the Village Green at 2pm and our regulars would be very grateful for some energetic new volunteers. Sustainable Rampton are running their first litter pick at the same time and if we have enough volunteers, we could perhaps also tackle the Cottenham end of the Rampton cycle path, meeting them in the middle.It would be great if you could join us – please put the date in your diaries and let Peter Pilbeam know if you can join us on pgp1@cam.ac.uk We can supply some equipment but if possible bring secateurs, brooms and spades.If you don’t feel up to tackling the cycle path, you might like to join the village litter pick the same afternoon, meeting at Cottenham Village Hall, Lambs Lane Recreation Ground at 2pm.There are refreshments afterwards back at the village hall for volunteers.
