Climate and Biodiversity

Sustainable Cottenham is active in mitigating, where possible, the effects of climate change and to aid nature recovery through enhancing biodiversity in Cottenham.

We are working with Cottenham Parish Council on how their actions can reduce emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change on Cottenham’s residents, businesses and natural assets.

We will be supporting Cottenham’s second Climate Forum 7 – 9pm on Wednesday 28th June at the Village Hall on Lamb’s Lane Recreation Ground. Come along to find out more about how flooding is affecting Cottenham and what we can all do to reduce the impact.

Our Nature Recovery group encourages and re-establishes biodiversity across several green spaces in Cottenham: The Moat on Tenison Manor, The Old Rec on Broad Lane, WARG Field on Histon Road and The Village Green on the High http://www.sustainablecottenham.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Climate-forum-2-flooding.pdfStreet, to name a few.
