🍏Do you have fruit trees cropping more than you can use? Or more courgettes than you know what to do with? Would you like to see them used to help feed local people? 🥒Please bring any surplus fruit or veg from your garden or allotment to our FruitFest event on Sunday 13th September at Cottenham Village Hall, 11.30-4pm. Cambridge Sustainable Food will use it to supply local charitable outlets such as Hope Against Poverty, the Community Cafe and foodbanks.🚚Please let us know if you're likely to have surplus fruit or veg to donate, and if you need help with picking up windfalls or getting them to the collection point: chair@sustainainablecottenham.org.ukCambridge Sustainable Food ... 🍍We're delighted to once again welcome Michelin-trained chef Rowen Halstead aka 'Waste Not Rowen' to another Cottenham event this September. Inspired by his time working in professional kitchens, Rowen is passionate about preventing food from going to waste both in the industry and also at home. 🍌As around 60% of wasted food comes from households there is something for all of us to improve on here and Rowen has imaginative recipes and tips for everyone which will help save money and waste in the kitchen.🍎FruitFest is on Sunday 13th September 11.30-4 at Cottenham Village Hall.
