We are holding our spring litter pick and cycle path tidy on Saturday 5th April 2pm – 5pm. Meet at Cottenham Village Hall on Lambs Lane Recreation ground for the litter pick and on the Village Green for the cycle path tidy.
What is involved for each?
For the litter pick you will be given a route to walk, to check for litter, and litter-picking equipment and hi-vis. If you are on your own, we will partner you with another volunteer. At the end of the afternoon, come back for well-earned refreshments.
The cycle path tidy-up is harder work – cutting back the verge to reveal solar studs and cleaning them, cutting back brambles etc. Our regulars would be very grateful for some energetic new volunteers, so if you use the cycle path it would be really appreciated if you could spare the time to help improve it.
Sustainable Rampton are running their first litter pick at the same time and if we have enough volunteers, we could perhaps also tackle the Cottenham end of the Rampton cycle path, meeting them in the middle.
It would be great if you could join us – please put the date in your diaries and let Peter Pilbeam know if you can join us on pgp1@cam.ac.uk
