Are you ready for the next heatwave? ‘Get Ready for Heatwaves’ is a free live online talk on Tues 30th June at 7:30-8:30pm by Cambridge Carbon Footprint, a local charity taking positive action to tackle the causes of climate change. You will hear advice on exterior shading, ventilation, personal cooling and the importance of insulation. Boy was it hot for SusCott’s Flora and Fauna event at the ‘Old Rec’ (aka the dog-walking field) on Saturday morning. We had a flurry of early visitors to see what moths and small mammals we had found overnight: 3 wood mice and lots of moths including poplar and privet hawk moths.
